Custom Poetry + Prose Writing

I offer custom poems and prose writing for your moment, emotion, or event (birthdays, weddings, funerals, anniversaries, religious events or holidays, business launch, etc.). We collaborate to tailor these poems and writings to your desires.

Writing Workshops

As an experienced classroom teacher, I offer writing workshops for small groups. The workshop is a space for groups of writers and art makers to discover avenues to restore the self and the community. Participants move beyond the realm of sight into the world of intuition through creative expression, the written word, and slowing down. My areas of focus include prose, poetry, mindfulness, art, healing, and spirituality. Sweetgum Workshops are tailored to the theme and needs of your organization or event.

Performance

I perform poetry and creative writing.

Original Paintings

I create custom paintings. My usual medium is acrylic on canvas, but other options are available. We collaborate to create something that fits your vision.

Pricing

I ask that you give something in exchange for my time, energy, training, and creative gift. Custom poetry and writing, writing workshops, and performances are on a sliding scale depending on factors such as the amount of writing required, the timing, size, and host of the event, and number of participants. For these offerings I am willing to work with all budgets. Due to the cost of supplies, custom paintings are available on a sliding scale from $300-$1,000. I deliver paintings for free in the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill area, or shipping is $80.
